Due to its unique natural environment and ecological value, Lake Inawashiro has been designated as an ecological protection area, making it a precious natural heritage site and a location for ecological observation. Inawashiro Town is home to three active volcanoes: Mount Bandai, Mount Adatara, and Mount Azuma, with the natural hot spring at Numajiri being the highest in Japan in terms of single-source output. In recent years, the "Inawashiro New Eight Scenic Views" has been established to promote various tourist attractions, including the entire town, rivers, and waterfalls. Visitors can enjoy the natural beauty spread across eight locations, including Kannonji River, Tenkyodai (Showa no Mori), and the ice splashes at Tenjinbana.
