Details

A huge lake formed by the completion of the "Unazuki Dam" in 2001. The fiery red bridge spans across the emerald green lake, with its reflection on the water creating a vivid and captivating scene. Surrounded by the beautiful nature of the Kurobe Gorge, Unazuki Lake has become an increasingly popular hidden gem. Due to its picturesque scenery, it attracts many visitors for hiking. During the autumn foliage season, the mountains surrounding the lake transform into a stunning display of fiery red colors that is truly breathtaking. At the lakeside, there is "Ono-numa Park," where visitors can wade into the water. Additionally, near the bridge on the lake, there is the "Daimuraikan," an information center that introduces the functions and structure of the Unazuki Dam. Please note that the bridge over the lake is closed to traffic in winter.
