Makuhari Messe, which opened in 1989, is a representative multi-purpose exhibition hall in Japan. The facility consists of three areas: the "International Exhibition Hall," the largest of its kind in Japan; the "International Conference Hall," which has 22 meeting rooms; and the "Makuhari Event Hall," which can accommodate up to 9,000 people. Various events are frequently held here, including exhibitions, trade fairs, concerts, sales events, academic seminars, international conferences, and sporting events. The spacious and comfortable venue also features restaurants and shops, and provides free Wi-Fi in public areas.
