📝 Introduction

The entire street shines with champagne golden light, representing the winter scenery of Marunouchi, Tokyo.

📖 Details

The Marunouchi Illuminations have been a winter tradition in the Marunouchi area for over 20 years since their inception. The main venue for the event is the Marunouchi Nakadori, a 1.2-kilometer-long main road lined with popular brand stores. Approximately 820,000 LED bulbs are lit up on around 286 roadside trees between the Tokyo Transportation Hall in front of Yurakucho Station and Otemachi Nakadori. During the event, not only the streets but the entire city sparkles with a champagne gold glow, creating a truly dreamy atmosphere. Additionally, the Marunouchi Illuminations also take environmental considerations into account, as all the lighting used on Marunouchi Nakadori is powered by green energy generated from natural sources such as solar and wind power.
