🎨 Attraction Gallery
📝 Introduction
Japan's first museum themed around manga. Immerse yourself in the world of manga manuscripts!
📖 Details
The hometown of the famous manga artist Takao Yaguchi, known for "Fishing Fool Sanpei," is "Masuda Town," which opened the "Manga Manuscript" specialized art museum in 1995. The museum's primary theme is to preserve and display the manuscripts created with the artist's dedication, housing over 400,000 manuscripts from more than 180 manga artists.
In the permanent exhibition room, which represents the spiritual landscape of the childhood era, there are numerous famous scene manuscripts from beloved classic manga, allowing visitors to relive their youthful memories. The manga culture exhibition room features screens shaped like manga panels, explaining manga culture in a simple and easy-to-understand manner. Additionally, Masuda Town, known as the "City of Storage," has a warehouse exhibition room that securely preserves the manuscripts, just as its name suggests.
Other facilities that manga fans love include a manga museum offering about 25,000 books for free reading, a museum shop with exclusive merchandise, and a manga café.
