About Miyane Park
In the expansive park of over 40,000 ping, one can enjoy the autumn foliage and the distinct scenery of each season.
Details
Miyahiko Park was established in the 7th year of the Taisho era (1918) and is located near JR "Miyahiko Station." Covering an expansive area of over 40,000 tsubo, it offers some of the most picturesque scenery in Japan, making it a favorite among locals and tourists alike.
As the area transforms into various landscapes, it features tunnels, waterfalls, and streams, with the most popular being "Momiji Valley." Momiji Valley is the most sought-after spot for viewing autumn leaves in Miyahiko Park, where the trees turn vibrant shades of red, creating a stunning landscape intertwined with the vermilion Tsukimizu Bridge. The illuminated night scenery transforms into a dreamlike atmosphere that should not be missed. Additionally, the view of Momiji Valley from the tunnel built from Mount Fuji's lava is breathtakingly picturesque. In spring, around a thousand cherry trees, including Somei Yoshino and Yaezakura, bloom, while in early summer, fireflies flicker in the darkness, attracting many sightseers throughout the year.
Besides seasonal plants, the vast park also features the Yujinja Shrine, the source of Miyahiko Onsen, and children's playground equipment, making it a great spot for leisurely walks. After your stroll, relax at the free foot bath "Yunowa (湯のわ)" located in front of the station.
