🗺️ Miyano En

📝 Introduction

At the northernmost part of Japan, there is a large tea-producing area where you can taste Sayama tea and experience Japanese tea culture in its tea gardens.

📖 Details

For Japanese people, the closest beverage is "Japanese tea." Brewing tea with the correct steps and enjoying the aroma and flavor of the tea leaves is also a joy in the daily life of Japanese people. "Miyanoen," located in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture, has a history of producing and selling tea for over a century. The tea garden has always adhered to the philosophy of passing down Japan's tea culture to future generations and conducts a series of activities to allow more people to experience the charm of Japanese tea. Sayama City in Saitama Prefecture is a major production base for tea in northern Japan. The tea garden has long been dedicated to researching how to brew good tea from leaves produced in cold regions. The characteristic of Sayama tea lies in its rich flavor, which is produced due to the thicker tea leaves. Additionally, the unique aroma of Sayama tea is enhanced by the "Sayama roasting" method used in the final roasting process. As the tea-picking song goes, "The color is Shizuoka, the aroma is Uji, but the taste is best in Sayama." This shows that when producing tea leaves, Sayama tea places more emphasis on flavor than on shape. Miyanoen not only engages in the production and sale of tea but is also a popular spot for tea-picking experiences. From early May to early November each year, the tea garden offers not only tea-picking activities but also matcha experiences and various lectures related to Japanese tea. It is highly recommended for those interested in Japanese tea and tea culture.
