The Mizuki Shigeru Road (Mizuki Shigeru Avenue) was established in 1993, stretching approximately 800 meters from the Sakai Minato Station to the Mizuki Shigeru Memorial Museum. Along this road, visitors can encounter 177 bronze statues of characters from Mizuki Shigeru's manga, including GeGeGe no Kitaro, Medama Oyaji (Eyeball Father), and Nezumi Otoko (Rat Man), as well as forest-dwelling yokai like Kuroboku and Sasa Baba, deities such as Zashiki-warashi (Tatami Room Child) and Binbōgami (God of Poverty), and other yokai like Azuki Washi and Ippon Datara that reside nearby, along with home-dwelling yokai like Karakasa-obake (Umbrella Yokai) and Hanetsuki. In addition to the popular yokai shrine known for its energetic attractions, there are also nine Kappa springs where the yokai can rest, as well as souvenir shops and dining establishments along the way, allowing visitors to explore and discover where the yokai are while visiting these attractions. The uniquely atmospheric Mizuki Shigeru Road transforms at night. After sunset each day, shadow plays featuring the yokai are projected, and the bronze statues are illuminated, creating a magical ambiance along the road. The lights remain on until 10 PM. In this enchanting setting, which contrasts sharply with the daytime scenery, one can almost feel the presence of the yokai.

The road from Jikankou Station to the Mizuki Shigeru Memorial Museum is approximately 800 meters long. There are 177 yokai statues scattered along this route. In addition to the world of Mizuki's manga, there are also statues of deities and yokai that govern fortune and misfortune. From sunset until 10 PM, there are shadow puppet shows or lighting events featuring yokai. There are also attractions such as the Yokai Shrine, Kappa no Izumi (Kappa's Spring), souvenir shops, and dining establishments that can be visited together.

(1) Arrive immediately after getting off at JR Sakai Line "Sakaiminato" Station. (2) Travel via the Meishin Expressway, Sanyo Expressway, and Chugoku Expressway, and it takes about 40 minutes by car from Yonago Interchange heading north on National Route 431.
