Today, part of the residence has been converted into the Mōri Museum, which houses ancient documents, armor, swords, tea utensils, lacquerware, and other fine arts and crafts, including paintings. Among these are Sesshū Tōyō's "Four Seasons Landscape" and "Collection of Japanese Poems Ancient and Modern, Volume 8," as well as national treasures, important cultural properties, and cultural properties designated by Yamaguchi Prefecture. The Mōri garden is also a popular spot for viewing autumn leaves.
