The Live House established by the renowned Okinawan folk singer "Chimei Sadanao," who also shines in production, features a spacious area with 150 seats. Here, you can enjoy performances by outstanding local and visiting artists, including the girl groups "Nenes," "The Fere," "Tururunten," and "Yunaha Tohru." One of its charms is that there is no time limit for watching performances. (Live admission is 2,310 yen for adults and 1,155 yen for elementary and high school students.) Since ancient times, various songs such as court music and labor songs have been deeply rooted in Okinawan life, giving rise to a unique musical culture. Here, you can experience this rich musical heritage firsthand, which not only attracts tourists but also has many local regulars and music enthusiasts. In addition to enjoying performances, you can also savor classic local delicacies. Dishes like "Tender Okinawan Braised Pork" simmered in awamori and brown sugar, the aromatic grilled salted pork belly "Suchika," and the classic "Okinawan Stir-Fried Bitter Melon" are among the many Okinawan specialties that receive high praise.
