🗺️ Nara Tokugawa Village, Village in the Sky
🎨 Attraction Gallery
📝 Introduction
Built by the French, the nearly brand-new outdoor facilities allow you to spend a leisurely whole day in the forest.
📖 Details
Located within the "21st Century Forest Kii Peninsula Forest Botanical Park" in the renowned azalea paradise of Totsukawa Village, this nearly brand-new outdoor attraction opened in 2020.
At a height of 4 to 12 meters above the ground, it features suspension bridges, treehouses, and hammock-like net structures, allowing visitors to leisurely enjoy a forest bath. Here, you can sip coffee while relaxing, or bounce up and down like on a trampoline. Both adults and children can freely read or rest on the ground.
The aerial village was created by Jolan Ferreri, a French resident of Totsukawa Village. Since 2016, he has served as a volunteer in regional development, working at the Totsukawa Village Office. During his involvement in forestry work, he was inspired to create a forest relaxation space. In France, there are many similar recreational facilities, and professional technicians were recruited from France for the engineering aspects.
The entrance fee includes the cost of organic beverages, and there is no time limit for use. You can bring your own lunch and other food items to enjoy a leisurely time here, forgetting about the passage of time.
