Crossing Chitose City and Tomakomai City in Hokkaido, it is the largest airport in Hokkaido. The transportation to the city center is very developed, earning it the nickname "Hokkaido Airport Gateway." There are two runways, each 3,000 meters long, and international flights operate 24 hours a day.
Inside the airport, there are various shops and facilities, allowing visitors to enjoy a range of activities even without flying.
