Located in Shizuoka Prefecture, Shizuoka City, "Nihondaira" is a hill with an elevation of 307 meters and is one of Japan's top scenic spots, having won first place in the "Japan's Top 100 Tourist Attractions" competition. In 2018, the "Nihondaira Dream Terrace" was officially opened at the summit of Nihondaira. It comprises an indoor exhibition area, a relaxation space, an observation floor, and an outdoor observation corridor, all offering stunning views of Mount Fuji, Suruga Bay, and Miho no Matsubara. The exhibition area on the first floor introduces the history of Nihondaira and nearby scenic spots, while the second floor features a relaxation space where visitors can enjoy tea and snacks while taking in the views. Finally, the third floor provides a comprehensive observation area for panoramic views. When weather conditions prevent visibility of Mount Fuji, a large screen displays images of the mountain. Moreover, the outdoor observation corridor offers a 360-degree panoramic view and is open all day, making it a popular spot for enjoying night views.
