Numazu, located in Shizuoka Prefecture, is a port city facing Japan's deepest Suruga Bay. Therefore, this food street situated at Numazu Port is truly a seafood kingdom. Along this street, known as "Numazu's Tsukiji Dining Hall," there are numerous restaurants specializing in seafood cuisine. At the entrance of the fishing port, the "Numazu Port Fresh Center" not only offers a wide variety of fresh fish and seafood caught in Suruga Bay but also features specialty shops selling local produce, wasabi, and tea from Shizuoka. Additionally, there are sushi shops and restaurants serving set meals. After enjoying the delicious seafood, visitors can also shop for various local specialties. Within the "Port 83," themed around "Tasting the Delicacies of Suruga Bay," there are all kinds of restaurants, offering everything from Japanese to Western cuisine. A particularly recommended dish is the "Deep-Sea Fish Rice Bowl," made with deep-sea fish freshly caught from Suruga Bay, which can only be enjoyed here. The sushi and grilled fish at Numazu Port's food street are also made from seafood ingredients that are freshly caught. In addition to tasting fresh delicacies on the food street, it is also recommended to visit the nearby "Numazu Deep Sea Aquarium and Coelacanth Museum." This is the world's first aquarium dedicated to deep-sea fish, where visitors can see preserved and frozen specimens of coelacanths.
