Details
Odori Park is located in the center of Sapporo. Surrounded by approximately 4,700 trees of 92 species, including lilacs and spring elms, the park features grassy areas and fountains for public relaxation, making it a popular recreational spot for both locals and tourists in the business district.
The flowerbeds in Odori Park were first planted with Western flowers by the Hokkaido Development Commission in 1875, and today they are maintained by the Sapporo Flowerbed Promotion Association. A landscaping competition is also held, where companies associated with the flowerbeds compete to create beautiful displays.
