It has survived through six eras: Edo, Meiji, Taisho, Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa, and continues to serve meticulously grilled premium eel that is beloved by both locals in Kawagoe and tourists. The signature dish, "Unajū," features a secret sauce passed down through generations since the restaurant's opening. The fluffy, aromatic eel perfectly complements the rice infused with the sauce. There are also various à la carte options, such as the "Original Eel," which allows you to savor the fresh sweetness of the eel, "Yanagawa," which consists of eel served with egg sauce, and the refreshing "Wafu Eel Salad," all of which pair well with alcoholic beverages.
