🗺️ Okubo Park (大久保公園)大久保公園

Located very close to the bustling district of Shinjuku's Kabukichō, Ōkubo Park is part of the Kabukichō Revitalization Project, aimed at transforming Kabukichō into a town where everyone can enjoy a sense of safety. In 2010, the park underwent renovation to create a hub for cultural and sporting activities. The goal is to generate and convey new culture from Kabukichō to invigorate the town and the surrounding area, with a variety of rich food events held throughout the year, such as a meat festival and a spicy food festival. Covering 3,300 square meters, the park is well-maintained and divided into areas for general use and sports. Although there are no playgrounds, the sports area includes free-to-use basketball and soccer fields. Furthermore, in 2022, the sports field underwent renovation, resulting in the creation of an artistic basketball court designed with geometric patterns.

In 2010, it underwent renovations, and in 2022, the sports area was transformed into an art stadium. For information on the usage of the sports area, please refer to the announcements on the official website. Please note that it may not be open for use during events, so take special care.
