🍜 Omura Meat Shop

📝 Introduction

Offering Mishima croquettes and snacks suitable for eating on the go, specializing in Kuroge Wagyu beef.

📖 Details

The local delicacy "Mishima Croquette" from Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture, is made from 100% Mishima potatoes, specifically the "May Queen" variety harvested from the western slopes of Hakone. These Mishima potatoes have a rich creamy sweetness and a moist, dense texture, making them a popular snack that even high-end restaurant chefs find appealing. To allow more people to taste its deliciousness, the locals established the "Mishima Croquette Association," and only certified shops can display the "Mishima Croquette" flag. The fillings and shapes of Mishima Croquettes are not restricted, and trying different flavors from various shops is part of its charm. If you want to taste this famous croquette, I recommend visiting "Omura Seinikuten." This shop has been specializing in Kuroge Wagyu for over 60 years. When you order the croquette, they also recommend trying it alongside their fried cutlet made from Kuroge Wagyu. The Mishima Croquettes at Omura Seinikuten come in adorable heart shapes as well as traditional forms, making them a favorite among locals. Additionally, Omura Seinikuten regularly sells a sister product, the sweet potato croquette "Satsuma Imo Croquette," which is made from sweet potatoes with a sugar content of 13-14 degrees, comparable to the sweetness of fruit, and is not to be missed.
