📖 Details

The elegant and magnificent cable-stayed Rainbow Bridge is approximately 800 meters long, spanning the northern part of Tokyo Bay and connecting the Shibaura area of Minato, Tokyo, with Odaiba. It is one of the landmark buildings representing Tokyo. Particularly stunning at night when illuminated, the bridge's lights twinkle, making it a classic architectural sight of Tokyo's nightlife, attracting many tourists for photography. The bridge is a double-decker structure, with the upper deck serving as an expressway and the lower deck accommodating regular vehicles and the "Yurikamome" line, in addition to pedestrian walkways. The walkways, which are about 1.7 kilometers long, are located on either side of the bridge, known as the "North Walkway" and "South Walkway." It takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to walk the entire length, allowing breathtaking views of Tokyo's beauty from the walkways.

The illuminated Rainbow Bridge at night is one of the symbols of Tokyo's night scenery. The lower level of the bridge features a walkway that is free to access. Accompanying seasonal and festival events, the lighting displays at night are diverse and ever-changing.
