🍜 Ramen Touhichi

📝 Introduction

After the relocation, its popularity soared! A ramen shop that has been recommended by the 'Michelin Bib Gourmand' for seven consecutive years.

📖 Details

Since 2017, the popular ramen shop Ramen Touhichi (らぁ麺とうひち) has been recommended by the Michelin Bib Gourmand for seven consecutive years. It opened in 2015 on a small path behind Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) and relocated to its current location in 2022. It is very close to the nearest "Shugakuin" station, and despite being situated in a highly competitive ramen area, its popularity has increased since the move. Ramen Touhichi insists on handmade production and self-made noodles, offering a clear broth ramen that does not use any flavor enhancers, fully showcasing the natural flavors of the ingredients. The signature "Chicken Soy Sauce Ramen" is made with a broth simmered only with local chicken and water, combined with freshly squeezed soy sauce to create a rich and layered soup base, perfectly paired with thin straight noodles made from Hokkaido flour. It continues to evolve and is a must-try dish for first-time visitors. The dipping noodles also allow you to enjoy the wonderful flavors created by the local chicken and freshly squeezed soy sauce. Additionally, they offer a seasonal limited "Chicken White Soup Ramen," with only 10 servings available each day. The shop has a minimalist setup with counter seating and two tables; if you want to avoid the crowds, it is recommended to visit on weekdays.
