🗺️ Ryujin Big Suspension Bridge竜神大吊橋

Ryujin Gorge is located within the Okukujigun Natural Park in Ibaraki Prefecture. The Ryujin River flows through the gorge and features the Ryujin Dam, with the "Ryujin Big Suspension Bridge" spanning above the reservoir. This pedestrian-only bridge is 375 meters long, making it the longest suspension bridge in the country. The height from the lake surface to the bridge deck is about 100 meters, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding nature. From late April to mid-May, the "Ryujin Gorge Koinobori Festival" is held, where around a thousand carp streamers flutter in the air. In August, the "Ryujin Gorge Wind Chime Festival" showcases beautiful sounds produced by 1,000 wind chimes. Visitors can also enjoy the autumn foliage and winter snow scenery. Whether viewing from the bridge or admiring the suspension bridge against the backdrop of nature, every sight is breathtaking. On the bridge, visitors can also experience bungee jumping towards the lake, plunging down from a height of 100 meters, feeling an exhilarating thrill beyond imagination, which attracts many repeat visitors from both domestic and international locations. On the opposite side of the bridge, there is the "Ryujin Bell Tower," which emits three different bells symbolizing love, hope, and happiness, making it particularly popular among couples.
