Senkaku Bay is a scenic spot on Sado Island, featuring approximately 3 kilometers of coastline with five small harbors. The 30-meter-high cliffs create a landscape that rivals Norway's Hardangerfjord, which is renowned as the best in the world, and it is also listed as one of the "100 Best Beaches in Japan." The Yagashima Amusement Park in Senkaku Bay offers a panoramic view of the entire bay. Crossing the "Machiko Bridge" (真知子橋), famous for being a filming location for the Showa-era movie "Your Name," leads to an observation deck on Yagashima Island where visitors can enjoy the full view of Senkaku Bay. The glass floor of the underwater viewing boat allows passengers to see the underwater scenes and schools of fish, while also providing a close-up view of the majestic cliffs during the cruise, accompanied by informative commentary. Visitors can even feed the black-tailed gulls flying alongside the boat. The aquarium in the park was renovated in 2023 to become the "Ageshima Marine Digital Exhibition Hall," showcasing the nearshore fish of Senkaku Bay through cutting-edge digital imaging technology. There are several cafes where visitors can taste Sado's local ingredients, including dishes made with freshly caught sea conch from Sado, buri (yellowtail) burgers made from small yellowtail fish, and hot dogs made from award-winning Sado sausages that excelled in European competitions. Additionally, there are shops selling original merchandise from the facility.

You can enjoy a panoramic view of the scenic spot of Sado Island, Senkaku Bay, with its tourist facilities. On the underwater observation boat, you can closely appreciate the magnificent views of Senkaku Bay. Various activities, such as squid cutting experiences, are held (reservation required, please inquire in advance). At the "Ageshima Marine Digital Exhibition Hall," you can watch videos introducing the fish species found in the waters near Senkaku Bay, as well as drone footage showcasing the stunning scenery of Senkaku Bay. The "Ageshima Umi Cafe," which offers a variety of dishes made with Sado ingredients, and the souvenir shop selling original products are also highly recommended.
