Mountains, sea of flowers, and sunsets—every view is a breathtaking scene at Hill Park.
Details
The rolling hills stretch like waves, making this one of the top scenic spots in Biei. The park is marked by stacked hay bales shaped like dolls, and from the hilltops, visitors can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Biei's magnificent and bountiful natural scenery.
To the east, you can gaze upon the Tokachidake mountain range, with its main peak standing at 2,077 meters, the continuous Daisetsuzan mountain range, and the farmland and red-roofed houses that are interspersed like a mosaic, collectively depicting a typical Hokkaido rural landscape. To the west, there is a popular sunset viewing spot where you can appreciate the vibrant orange glow of the setting sun.
The park has facilities such as a parking lot, restrooms, and a resting area, but these are closed during the snow season, so please pay special attention. Additionally, entry to nearby farmland, private land, and unpaved roads is prohibited. Drone flying or photography is not allowed in Biei town. Please take photos within the park.
