Sodegaura Seaside Park is built on reclaimed land in Tokyo Bay, covering an area of 8 hectares. The spacious park features a large lawn plaza that mimics the appearance of Tokyo Bay, barbecue areas suitable for picnics, and an observation tower among other facilities. From the approximately 25-meter-high observation tower, which serves as a landmark for the park, visitors can enjoy views of the Tokyo Bay Expressway, the Umihotaru Rest Area, and more. On clear days, the cityscape across the sea, the Umihotaru Rest Area, Tokyo Skytree, and Mount Fuji can also be admired. Additionally, Sodegaura Seaside Park is a popular spot for night views, attracting many visitors in the evening who come to gaze at the beautiful night scenery of Yokohama in the distance. The barbecue area is open on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and during the Golden Week, as well as from late July to late August during the summer vacation period. The park also features outdoor sports facilities such as bike paths, making it a place where both adults and children can enjoy a full day of fun.
