Located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building consists of three structures: the First Main Building, the Second Main Building, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly Hall. It serves as the administrative center for Tokyo. The observation deck is situated on the 45th floor of the First Main Building, accessible via a dedicated elevator from the first floor. The ride takes just 55 seconds to reach the observation deck, which stands 202 meters high, offering a stunning view of Tokyo's beautiful skyline. The observation deck is divided into southern and northern areas, allowing visitors to walk around the indoor circular walkway of either zone. In the northeast direction, you can see the Tokyo Skytree, while to the southwest are the Shinjuku Park Tower and the Tokyo Opera City, giving a 360-degree view of the dynamic cityscape of Tokyo. At night, the view of the dazzling city lights makes it an ideal spot for a date. Additionally, the south observation deck features the "Metropolitan Government Building Memory Piano," which anyone can play freely. Designed by Yayoi Kusama, the piano has a striking yellow and black color scheme, adding a touch of vibrancy to the observation deck.
