About Tottori Twenty Century Pear Museum (ACEPACK NASHIKO Museum)

The only one in all of Japan! A museum themed around pears.

Details

Introducing Tottori's famous pears, which are also home to Japan's only pear-themed museum. Inside the museum, there are exhibits related to pears, tastings of various types of pears, desserts made from pears, souvenirs for sale, and various experiential activities related to pears, all showcasing the charm of this fruit. Among the many displays, the most eye-catching is the giant tree of the Twenty Century pear, which has a diameter of 20 meters. This tree, over 70 years old, once produced 4,000 pears in a single year, making it a sight worth seeing. Other exhibits include works featuring pears and the "Magical Garden," where visitors can feel as if they have shrunk and are in a pear orchard, which is also very interesting. Additionally, there are fruit-picking experiences in early May and bagging experiences, as well as a paid harvesting experience in mid-September, allowing participation in various pear-related activities throughout the seasons. After gaining knowledge about pears through the exhibits, it's time for the tasting! Visitors can compare three types of pears at the "Pear Kitchen Art Exhibition Room," and enjoy Twenty Century pear ice cream and mini buffet dishes topped with pears at the "Fruit Parlor," indulging in the deliciousness of pears.
