🎨 Attraction Gallery
📝 Introduction
Located near Niigata, it is a famous hot spring known for its beautiful hot springs.
📖 Details
Yuzawa Onsen is located in Niigata's Niigata City on the eastern side of the Echigo Plain, and it opened in 1915 (Taisho 4). It is a representative hot spring of Niigata and is a regular feature on the "Japan's Top 100 Hot Springs" list. The water quality is a weakly alkaline sulfur spring, and its emerald green (sometimes milky white) color is often mistaken for a bath additive. It has a high beauty-enhancing effect and is well-known as a "beauty hot spring," leaving the skin soft and smooth after bathing.
Strolling along the retro streets of the hot spring town is also quite enjoyable. The "Gensen-sha" is the original site where the hot spring first emerged, and nearby, there are statues for praying for good relationships and places to drink the hot spring water.
There are several shops featuring Niigata's famous local products, such as "premium SAKE Kura," which showcases 90 sake brands from Niigata with tasting options, and "premium SENBEI Den," which produces creative rice crackers.
⭐ Highlights
The concentration of sulfur components with skin-beautifying effects is the highest in Japan. The drinkable hot spring claims to be "the hardest to drink hot spring in all of Japan." Stroll through the retro streets while wearing a yukata. There are also shops selling famous local products from Niigata.
