About Yokohama Marine Tower

More diverse gameplay after the renovation! The symbolic tower of Yokohama Port.

Details

Yokohama Marine Tower was built in 1961 (Showa 36) to commemorate the centenary of Yokohama's opening to the port. This 106-meter tall tower, designed to resemble a lighthouse, is one of Yokohama's symbols and can be seen from various locations in the bay area, making it a favorite among locals. After renovations in 2022, it has transformed into an even more attractive destination. From the observation floors on the 29th and 30th floors, visitors can overlook surrounding attractions such as Yamashita Park, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, and Minato Mirai. On clear days, it is also possible to enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Mount Fuji and Tokyo Tower. At night, in addition to the captivating night view of the expansive bay, visitors can enjoy works that combine scenery with digital art at the Media Art Gallery. The 230 LED lights adorn the Marine Tower with vibrant colors at night, making it a sight not to be missed. The dining options on the 1st to 4th floors are also quite diverse. There is a Hawaiian restaurant called "Egg'n Things," famous for its pancakes and Eggs Benedict, as well as Italian restaurants, restaurant bars, and other dining establishments. Additionally, there are Hawaiian-style grocery stores, shops selling Yokohama-related merchandise, a tourist information center, and wedding venues, among various other facilities. Furthermore, the plaza in front of the Marine Tower regularly hosts markets and live performances, offering a variety of activities.
