Yoro Valley is located in the central area of Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture, formed around the Yoro River. The valley is not only picturesque but also one of the top hot spring destinations in Chiba Prefecture. It is about a 2-hour drive from central Tokyo. This area enjoys a warm climate throughout the year, making it possible to arrange hiking trips even in winter. Yoro Valley is also known as "the latest maple viewing spot in the Kanto region," where beautiful autumn foliage can be seen from late November to early December each year.
Yoro Valley preserves stunning natural landscapes, with the main attractions being the "Eight Views of Yoro." Among them, the largest waterfall in Chiba Prefecture, the "Awamata Falls," is the most spectacular and serves as a representative site of Yoro Valley. Additionally, the famous maple viewing spot "Umeze Valley" and the artificial tunnel "Koubun Cave Ruins" are also well-known.
