🗺️ Arakurayama Sengen Park (新倉山浅間公園)

Shinkurayama Asama Park is famous for its magnificent views of Mount Fuji and the five-story pagoda, Chureito. The park is home to approximately 650 cherry blossom trees. In spring, visitors can witness the stunning scenery created by the combination of Mount Fuji, the five-story pagoda, and cherry blossoms. This uniquely beautiful landscape frequently appears in various travel guides introducing Japan and has become a popular tourist destination. To enjoy the breathtaking view, one must climb a stone staircase that extends from the Shinkura Fuji Asama Shrine to the pagoda. This staircase has 398 steps and is known as "SAKUYA HIME 台階 (咲くや姫階段)." It is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes when visiting (there is also a sloped path). Every April, a "Cherry Blossom Festival" is held, featuring stage performances and various local food stalls among other activities. During this time, the park is bustling with crowds and very lively.

The best viewing period for cherry blossoms is around mid-April every year. You can capture the scenery of cherry blossoms, Mount Fuji (富士山), and the Five-Story Pagoda (五重塔). Photos of Mount Fuji, the Five-Story Pagoda, and cherry blossoms have frequently appeared in travel magazines both domestically and internationally.
