🗺️ Benesse House Museum

📝 Introduction

A museum where you can appreciate modern art and also stay overnight.

📖 Details

The Benesse House Museum opened in 1992 and is a facility that combines a museum and a hotel. Based on the concept of "the coexistence of nature, architecture, and art," artworks are not only displayed in exhibition spaces but are also scattered throughout the museum and the surrounding coastline and forests. This allows visitors to enjoy the art while taking a walk, immersing themselves in a rich artistic atmosphere. Designed by Tadao Ando, the museum is situated on a high ground overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, featuring large floor-to-ceiling windows on the seaside walls that bring the island's beautiful scenery indoors. The museum also includes a restaurant and a café, where visitors can enjoy contemporary art and the views of the Seto Inland Sea while dining in an elegant space, spending a wonderful time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
