Located on the hill of Yamate in Yokohama, this long-established Western-style dessert shop is about a 7-minute walk from the "Motomachi-Chukagai" station on the Minato Mirai Line. The Western-style building, built in 1927, retains the grandeur of the former Yamate foreign settlement, making it a perfect place to spend an elegant leisure time. The first floor houses a café, while the second floor features private rooms that can accommodate up to 6 people and a dessert shop, where you can also purchase souvenirs. The classic "Afternoon Tea Set" includes homemade cakes, traditional scones, sandwiches, and exclusive black tea (private room menu, reservation required). There are also various cakes that make abundant use of seasonal fruits, which are a feast for the eyes. In addition, the long-loved fresh cheesecake and English scones, which have been favorites since the opening, are not to be missed. The interior is decorated as an elegant tea room that carries the old Yamate atmosphere. It features precious decorations and interiors, including antique furniture over 150 years old, a stove, and wooden windows that open up and down, allowing visitors to glimpse the charm of that era, attracting many tourists.
