About FARMER'S CAFE TSUCHINOCA
Provide healthy dishes using local ingredients! A vibrant coffee restaurant.
Details
FARMER'S CAFE TSUCHINOCA opened in 2015 as a coffee restaurant and local specialty store aimed at promoting the charm of agricultural products from the Ashikaga region. It is jointly operated by the well-known local snack shop, Ōmugi Kōbō, and Hasegawa Farm. The store is located within Ōmugi Kōbō. The name TSUCHINOCA is a coined term in Japanese that means "the fragrance of the soil" and "the flower of the soil." Ōmugi Kōbō is famous for producing French desserts, particularly the Dacquoise, and its signature product, the Ōmugi Dacquoise, is a popular souvenir representing the Ashikaga area. Hasegawa Farm is known for its Ashikaga beef, two-row barley, and asparagus.
The lunch featuring Ashikaga beef pairs wonderfully with the farm-fresh vegetable salad. As a showcase of local agricultural products, every dish at TSUCHINOCA uses ingredients sourced from the region. For example, the beef served is from a local brand called MARU beef, which is fed with grape pomace from the winemaking process. It has a balanced fat content, tender texture, and is not greasy, making it a signature dish of the restaurant. Additionally, the fresh and juicy asparagus and nutrient-rich onions in the vegetable salad are also exceptional. Furthermore, the barley used in the hamburgers and pasta is locally sourced, and every dish is made with love.
The restaurant offers dishes made only with natural ingredients, ensuring that each meal is healthy and delicious. The in-store specialty shop sells vegetables delivered fresh from the farm every morning, making them great souvenirs to take home. This sunlit and vibrant coffee restaurant is a must-visit for those looking to enjoy healthy and delightful cuisine. You can find the freshest vegetables right in the restaurant's specialty shop!
