Kōrai Shrine is dedicated to the worship of Wang Yokko, who came from the kingdom of Koryo, as well as the deity Takeuchi no Sukune from Japanese mythology and Sarutahiko no Mikoto, the ancestor of the tengu. Because several politicians who have visited Kōrai Shrine have gone on to become Prime Ministers, the shrine is revered as the "God of Good Fortune," attracting many who hope to achieve success or wish for prosperous businesses. Additionally, it is said to have the power to bless descendants with prosperity. Near the main hall of the shrine, there remains the "Kōrai Family Residence," which served as the residence for successive shrine priests. This historic mansion, built in the 17th century, has now been designated as an Important Cultural Property of the country.
