🎨 Shrine Gallery
📝 Introduction
A temple said to be highly effective for warding off evil. It attracts a large number of worshippers for New Year's prayers every year.
📖 Details
It is said that Kawasaki Daishi is the birthplace of the Hatsumode (New Year’s visit to shrines) culture. Every year, the number of visitors during the New Year’s worship exceeds 3 million (from January 1 to January 3). Known as the "Dairokumon Master" for its effectiveness in warding off misfortunes, it is deeply cherished by people from the Kanto region and throughout the country. The temple's monks perform goma (fire rites) prayers daily, praying for worshippers to rid themselves of bad luck, ensure safety at home, promote business prosperity, and attain health and longevity.
The temple has many wonderful sights; the "Hakkaku Gojunoto" (octagonal five-story pagoda) harmoniously complements the main building complex, while the "Yakushi-don" (Hall of the Healing Buddha) showcases an architectural style inspired by India.
⭐ Highlights
Every year, the New Year's temple visit attracts a large number of worshippers. In the Kanto region, it is well-known for its ability to ward off disasters and misfortune. The approach to the temple is a shopping street, lined with numerous food stalls and small shops, allowing visitors to eat and shop at the same time.
