🗺️ Gotenyama (Shizuoka)御殿山

Named after its location behind the "Kambara Goten" built by Tokugawa Ieyasu, Goten-yama is a top cherry blossom viewing spot in Shizuoka City, where beautiful cherry blossoms can be enjoyed from late March to early April. Approximately 600 trees of Somei Yoshino and Ooyama cherry blossoms are planted throughout Goten-yama. During the blooming season, visitors can enjoy a stunning view of the mountain covered in the soft colors of cherry blossoms from the Yasaka Shrine. There is a designated trail leading to the summit for hiking enthusiasts, and it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes when climbing. Every year, during the cherry blossom season from late March to early April, the "Kambara Goten-yama Cherry Blossom Festival" is held, featuring night illuminations and food stalls set up by local vendors, attracting large crowds of flower viewers (※ For details on event dates and other inquiries, please consult the relevant authorities in advance).
