The ability to closely observe the dynamic sea of clouds is a proud feature of the "Hoshino TOMAMU Resort." It is open only in the mornings from May to October, when the sea of clouds forms. When weather conditions are right, the magnificent sea of clouds rolling in is truly a breathtaking sight. On a platform that seems to float in the air, you can feel as if you are sailing on the sea of clouds.
To reach the "Sea of Clouds Platform," you must take the Sunrise Sea of Clouds Gondola. After about a 13-minute aerial walk from the base of the mountain, you arrive at the mountaintop station at an altitude of 1,088 meters. From the top floor, approximately 12 meters high, you can overlook the majestic sea of clouds and the panoramic view of the Hidaka Mountain Range and other natural wonders. Additionally, the café "Cloud Cafe," which offers drinks and desserts themed around "clouds," is also highly praised.
From six unique platforms built along the mountain path, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery from various angles. The "Cloud Walk," shaped like a cloud, resembles a suspension bridge, and the slight swaying while walking gives you the sensation of floating as if walking on clouds. The viewing spot "Cloud Pool," designed like a large hammock, and the "Cloud Bar," inspired by a bar counter, are also extremely popular.
