📝 Introduction

📖 Details
Located in the lush surroundings of the Yachiyo area in Shioaka City, the "Ibaraki Prefectural Flower Park" reopened in April 2021 after renovations, now known as "Ibaraki Flower Park."
The concept of the park is to allow visitors to experience the charm of flowers and nature through the five senses: sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing. The park is themed around Ibaraki Prefecture's prefectural flower, the rose, and features a creatively designed rose garden that showcases the beauty, variety, and fragrance of 900 types of roses from various angles (the best viewing period for roses is from mid-May to late June and from October to mid-November). Additionally, there are over a hundred "100 Experiences" activities that allow visitors to appreciate the beauty of flowers and the Satoyama nature through sensory experiences, enabling them to feel the unique charm of each season.
A restaurant designed with the theme of a farmer's rose greenhouse is situated on a hill, offering a panoramic view of the entire park. The restaurant serves delicious dishes carefully prepared using ingredients sourced from Yachiyo City, known for its abundant vegetables and fruits. There are also many exciting features, such as the park entrance made from stones quarried in Ibaraki Prefecture and the tourist information center designed with a thatched roof, allowing visitors to experience the preserved natural scenery of the foothills of Mount Tsukuba.
Moreover, adjacent to the park is the camping accommodation facility "Hanariyama," which features circular wooden cabins and luxury tents that blend harmoniously with the Satoyama landscape. Visitors can participate in various outdoor activities in a nature-filled environment and gaze at the starry sky at night. It is a facility where one can not only enjoy beautiful flowers but also experience the charm of Ibaraki Prefecture.
⭐ Highlights
Including the adjacent "Hana里山" (Hana里山), Ibaraki Flower Park covers an area of 30 hectares, where you can encounter a variety of beautiful flowers in the vast park. Spring and autumn are the most recommended seasons to visit for the rose blooming period, where you can see about 900 varieties of roses competing in their beauty.
The park offers many experiential activities using flowers, plants, and local materials. You can enjoy seasonal dishes with regional characteristics in restaurants and cafes surrounded by flowers, grass, and trees. There are circular wooden cabins and luxurious tents available for experiencing outdoor activities close to nature, and at night, stargazing events are held.
