📖 Details

Its most distinctive feature is its "four-sided front," which appears symmetrical from any direction. Historically, it was referred to as "O-chaya" by the lords of the Takamatsu domain and was often used to entertain guests. Visitors can pay to enter and enjoy sights such as the "Nezumi Goyomatsu," a bonsai believed to have been gifted by Tokugawa Ienari, the 11th shogun, and the pond known as Nan-ko, while also savoring matcha or sencha. Additionally, the tea house "Higurutei," located between the North Lake and West Lake in the park, offers meals from March to June and September to November (reservation required).
