KANEFUKU Oarai Mentaiko Theme Park is located in Oarai Town, Higashi Ibaraki District, Ibaraki Prefecture, and is Japan's first theme park dedicated to mentaiko, operated by the renowned mentaiko shop "KANEFUKU." Inside the park, there is a mentaiko production factory that can produce over 5 tons of mentaiko in a single day during peak times, and it is open for free tours, allowing visitors to learn about the production process of various mentaiko products. Visitors can also taste mentaiko delicacies at the food street or explore the mentaiko museum, where they can enjoy sightseeing, tasting, and fun activities. If visitors develop an interest in mentaiko after their visit, they can purchase freshly made mentaiko at the directly operated store. Additionally, there is a wide variety of mentaiko-flavored snacks and processed products available for selection. Nearby the Oarai Mentaiko Theme Park, there are other tourist attractions such as "Aqua World Ibaraki Prefectural Oarai Aquarium" and "Hitachi Seaside Park," making it advisable to include these nearby sites in your travel itinerary.
