Kansai International Airport is the world's first completely artificial island offshore airport. Since its opening in 1994, it has quickly become the international gateway for business and tourism in western Japan. The airport code "KIX" has led the public to affectionately nickname it "KICKS (キックス)," covering a total area of 1,055 hectares. Inside the airport, the Kansai Observation Hall "Sky View" is located about 320 meters from the main A runway, with different highlights on each of its 1st to 5th floors. The rooftop features an observation platform that offers a 360-degree panoramic view, allowing visitors to closely watch the takeoff and landing of airplanes. On the 4th floor, "SKY SHOP TOWN" offers official merchandise from airlines and model airplanes favored by collectors, providing a wide range of aviation-related products. Additionally, the 3rd floor houses the "SKY MUSEUM," where visitors can enjoy learning about Kansai International Airport and aviation-related knowledge, which is also quite popular among travelers.
