Sannomiya Center Street is the central hub of Kobe's transportation network. The name Sannomiya comes from the three shrines of Ikuta Shrine (the Sannomiya area was once part of the Ikuta Shrine's territory and was formerly known as Kobe, which is also the origin of the name Kobe). Sannomiya Center Street is a large arcade-style shopping street. Along the street from Hanadani Road to Koikawa Street, there are various shops including clothing brand stores, home decor shops, general stores, and dining establishments of all sizes. Within the shopping street, there is a comprehensive information center called "Sannomiya HATENA," where you can pick up maps and brochures about Sannomiya Center Street and Kobe for free. Major transportation routes in Kobe are almost all concentrated here, making it very convenient to get around. On both sides of the street, there are numerous shops including clothing brand stores, home decor shops, grocery stores, and dining establishments. At the information center "Sannomiya HATENA," you can pick up maps and various guidebooklets for free. Every spring and autumn, a fashion show called "Sannomiya COLLECTION" is held.
