Koganei Park is a vast area of about 80 hectares, featuring expansive lawns, a mixed forest, a cherry blossom garden, a children's playground, and a steam locomotive exhibit. Part of the mixed forest is designated as a wildlife protection area (no entry), making it a paradise for birds.
With approximately 1,400 cherry trees planted, it becomes a popular cherry blossom viewing spot in spring, attracting large crowds of flower enthusiasts. In addition, there is a BBQ shop in the park, so you don’t need to bring your own ingredients and can enjoy barbecuing hands-free (reservation only). The bicycle center offers a variety of bicycles for rent (for a fee), allowing families and groups to enjoy the fun of riding bicycles.
