🗺️ Kunigami Village Forest Park - Hoshi to Mori Campsite国頭村森林公園〜星と森のキャンプ場〜

Kunigami Village Forest Park is located at the gateway to the World Natural Heritage site "Yambaru." Kunigami Village boasts the most magnificent scenery in the lush Yambaru region. The expansive park is surrounded by trees such as Okinawa oak, southwestern magnolia, and red camphor, and features a 3-kilometer forest trail that allows for leisurely walks while enjoying the beauty of Lake Edun and seasonal flowers. The mountain and sea views from the observation deck are also not to be missed. In addition to the trails, the park offers camping areas, cabins, treehouses, and the only observatory on Okinawa Island, which hosts stargazing activities at night (reservation required). A variety of activities are available, including nighttime forest exploration, wildlife observation, and stargazing, allowing you to personally experience the beauty of the Yambaru forest, which is registered as a World Heritage site. The "Yambaru Forest Toy Museum," featuring many wooden toys, is also worth a visit.
