About ○間ーMAー translates to "Space - MA -".
Understanding tea culture from various perspectives, this is a complex facility transformed from a charcoal wholesale store.
Details
The building of a charcoal wholesale store from the Taisho era has been designed as a complex facility with the theme of "inheritance." Centered around tea, it is a space where one can engage with various cultures and arts, including tea, snacks, meals, alcohol, fine arts, crafts, incense, calligraphy, music, and traditional culture.
Approximately 200 types of Japanese tea have been carefully selected from all over Japan, along with snacks and meals that pair well with Japanese tea. There are also tea sets and artworks created by artists available for sale.
There are combo sets called "◯間のCHAJI -茶菓-" that feature selected tea paired with suitable snacks, and a casual tea ceremony-style lunch called "◯間的CHAJI -昼-." For those who simply want to taste a variety of teas, a combination set of three Japanese teas is available. Additionally, there are various experiences such as "Japanese Tea x Plants Aroma Creation."
In the "Japanese Tea x Plants Aroma Creation," participants can choose one scent from six original Japanese tea aromas as a base and then layer it with their preferred plant scents. Various irregular events are also held, and related information can be found on the official website.
