🗺️ Nagano Prefecture Viewpoint Village眺望の郷

Located in Nagano Prefecture, the Viewpoint Village offers a breathtaking panorama of the Northern Alps stretching from south to north at an altitude of 1,000 meters. It provides a complete view from Mount Ojisan in the southern part of Nagano's Ōno City to Mount Myōjō in the northern part of Niigata's Uonuma City. If the weather conditions are right, you can also enjoy the dreamlike scenery of a sea of clouds. Various seasonal flowers can be admired nearby, with cherry blossoms and daffodils blooming beautifully in spring. Due to its location in the deep mountains, driving is the most convenient way to reach it. The route involves taking National Route 148, crossing the Miyamoto Bridge, and then driving about 5 kilometers up a mountain road. The winding and narrow roads require caution for oncoming traffic as you slowly ascend. Please note that the road is impassable in winter, so extra care is necessary. The campsite is open from late April to early November, where you can enjoy stunning views of sunrises, sunsets, and starry skies that change with the time of day. There are various options available, including small cabins, wooden platforms, and permanent tents, allowing visitors to fully enjoy nature at their leisure.
