Details
Nakashima Park, although located in the center of Sapporo, is surrounded by lush nature. The beautiful scenery that varies with the seasons attracts many tourists, making it one of the most popular parks in Sapporo.
In spring, cherry blossoms and wisteria bloom, while in summer, yellow irises compete to blossom. Additionally, the autumn foliage is also uniquely charming. Another feature of Nakashima Park is its Japanese garden, which exudes a tranquil atmosphere filled with Japanese aesthetics. There is also the tea room "Hassouan," designated as an important cultural property of the country, where visitors can admire this historically valuable structure from the outside.
Furthermore, the "Hoheikan," also designated as an important cultural property, is worth a visit. This hotel is the only one built by the Meiji government and is a precious building that has passed down the architecture of the pioneers to the present day. The ceiling where the chandelier hangs is decorated with plaster, and the beautiful embellishments are also highlights for visitors. Additionally, guests can view a recreation of the guest room where Emperor Meiji once stayed, as well as images related to the history of Hoheikan.
