Details
Naritasan Park is a park built within the grounds of Naritasan, covering an area of 165,000 square meters, which is 3.5 times the size of Tokyo Dome. Every spring, visitors can enjoy the beautiful sight of around 350 cherry blossom trees in full bloom. Additionally, one can appreciate plum blossoms, wisteria, and autumn leaves, allowing for a close encounter with the diverse beauty of nature throughout the year.
Within Naritasan Park, there are charming attractions such as a Western-style garden with fountains and benches, as well as the majestic Ohi Falls nestled among large rocks, making it highly recommended to take a stroll in the park. The park also features the "Shodo Museum," where a rare treasure, the large rubbing of the "Inscription of Mount Tai," brought back from the Great View Peak of Mount Tai in China, can be found. The stone tablet stands 13.3 meters tall and 53 meters wide, and it is said that the inscription, "Inscription of Mount Tai," was personally written by Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, Li Longji, for the purpose of the Fengshan ceremony at Mount Tai, making it well worth a visit.
Every spring, the park hosts the Plum Blossom Festival, and in autumn, the Maple Leaf Festival, attracting a continuous stream of visitors during these events, creating a lively atmosphere.
