Offering a wide range of materials, including various types of fabrics, textiles, and fashion-related accessories, it attracts both novice craftsmen and fashion professionals from all over the country.
On Nippori Chuo-dori, which is the main street, not only are there numerous shops focused on textile materials, but there are also stores selling leather, fashion accessories, buttons, paper patterns, sewing supplies, and jewelry. With so many items available, spending an entire day browsing may not be enough, so be sure to research shops that fit your needs in advance! Additionally, outside the main street, in areas known as "Ura-Nippori" and "Oka-Nippori," there are many stores selling unique and stylish products, which are worth checking out as well.
The trendy clothing shops on Fabric Street offer adorable and affordable items and are well-loved by young people under the name "Nipokaji," generating discussions on social media and in the media.
Every autumn, the "Nippori Fashion Design Competition" is held, attracting works from aspiring fashion students and general participants, spreading the new trends of the next generation from the textile capital of Nippori.
