🗺️ Noboribetsu Brown Bear Ranchのぼりべつクマ牧場

The "Noboribetsu Brown Bear Park" is located at an altitude of 550 meters on the summit of Shikotsu Mountain. It takes about 7 minutes to reach the park by cable car from the base station in Noboribetsu Onsen. The park houses over 60 brown bears. The bears are divided into two display areas by gender. In the first enclosure, where the male brown bears reside, there is a glass house called "Human Cage," where visitors can observe the bears moving around the house, providing a close-up view of the impressive male bears! In both the first and second enclosures, visitors can feed the adult brown bears. There is also an impressive "Brown Bear Obstacle Course" showcasing the bears' balance and agility, as well as a "Duck Race" where visitors can guess the ranking of the competing ducks. The facilities also include a brown bear museum, an Ainu lifestyle museum, and a café. The shops at the cable car base station and the brown bear museum sell a variety of original products from the bear park. From the observation deck on the roof of the brown bear museum, visitors can enjoy a distant view of the round-shaped Lake Kuttara, and the surrounding magnificent natural scenery is not to be missed.
